I have always been drawn to landscapes, especially after college when I lived on Whidbey Island for two years before residing in Seattle, WA. Landscapes have amazing color quality, a gift to encourage multiple senses and emotions, as well as, make room for the dreamy texture of reality. Acrylic, spray paint, watercolor, gouache, charcoal, chalk and oil pastels are the mediums I use, typically on canvas or board. I like to give the material and mediums some control, embracing mess-ups or rash decisions in an attempt to discover the painting. They build toward me.
