Hailing from Japan, Pesu creates original and intriguing art unlike anything most people have seen before. In 2001, he crossed the Pacific for California to establish himself as an artist and in 2005, relocated to New York City. He participates regularly with ArtBattles and paints live with the collective Old Soulz. Since his first NYC Solo Gallery show in 2006, Pesu’s art has appeared on mix tapes (Mista Sinista) and music videos (Lupe Fiasco’s Daydreamin’). In 2007 he was selected to be an artist for (Japanese clothing company) Evisu’s Sun Dance Festival.
