The style and picture language of Victor Herrero can be defined as ¨new contemporary figurative painting¨. The roots and influences of his work can clearly been found in the graphic elements of the early skateboard culture, the 1970ies psychedelic-styled record covers, graphic design, advertising, surrealism and tattoo art. This mesh-up of various artistic elements creates and tells visual tales that interact with the observer.
The variety of styles, images, techniques and concepts within his paintings and illustrations are unique within the Urban Art movement. His art represents the obscene and bitter side of life that other artists often donʼt want to talk about.
Besides his artistic career, he works as an illustrator and graphic designer for brands like Adidas, Renault, Disney and Green Graffiti on print, web or guerrilla marketing campaigns.
