King of New York

What a great battle.. 4 heavy weights of Live Art in NYC going head to head for a chance to rep their city in Barcelona and be crowned as ArtBattles first King of New York. The stage was set at Le Poisson Rouge and a ridiculously beautiful crowd encouraged our artists to go all out.
Immediately the battle was on with Dre Flipping his canvas and shedding his shirt; Ben pulling his to the ground and painting feverishly; Yatika lighting his up with color and the audiences sense of wonder; and Leif pulling a beautiful woman out in mere moments who had the whole room buzzing.
When the last track was played artists where held back from their canvas and welcomed back to the crowd with cheers and shouts of admiration.
The final pieces where then auctioned right off of their easels with paint still wet for over half a grand a piece. Dre's piece of New York became a gift for a brother across the country while Yatika's became a piece of Art for an office of art enthusiasts while Lief's brought warmth to a new apartment and Ben's flew back to England with his new owners.
When it came time for voting all of the Artists where screamed and pleaded for by the enthused crowd but one artist captured the mind with the skill the body with the beautiful form and the soul with the subject matter and that was our King of New York Ben Angotti. In a last minute twist our runner up Yatika Starr Fields was invited to help Rep not just NY but the US in our battles with the Spanish.
